From colorful plantings to public events, there is perhaps no better glimpse of Garden activity on our grounds and in the broader community than in the images captured by our photography interns. Each semester a new team of photo interns joins us from local St. Louis universities and beyond to document everything from daily life among Garden staff and visitors to long-term research and horticulture projects.

In addition to a wealth of early blooms, our spring 2017 interns, Suzann Gille and Yihuang Lu, spent their semester digging into the Garden’s therapeutic horticulture program, going behind the scenes of our annual Chinese Culture Days festival, and collecting colors, sounds, and textures typical of spring on Garden grounds.
Select images by the Garden’s spring 2017 photography interns will be displayed throughout the summer months in our Sassafras cafe. Check out the slideshow below to view more of their work.
